On March 21st, we roll up our sleeves: objective "Clean Nature" at Castelbouc!
At Camping "The Castelbouc Site", Our daily lives are immersed in the wild beauty of the Tarn Gorges. But this beauty is fragile, and it needs our help. Like every year, the March 21, Brice and I (Erika) traded our manager hats for our cleaning gloves.
We are participating with determination in the national litter collection operation, an event organized by the FNC (National Federation of Hunters) and supported by the’OFB (French Office for Biodiversity).
Why is this event so important to us?
Lozère is our land, Castelbouc is our jewel. We are passionate about our territory and we want to preserve it intact for you, but also for the fauna and flora that inhabit it.
Unfortunately, the situation becomes more and more disheartening each spring. Between the lack of civic-mindedness of some increasingly disrespectful passersby and the debris carried by the winter floods of the Tarn, our riverbanks and paths are littered with waste that has no business being there (plastics, cans, bulky items…).
Concrete action for a preserved territory:
Participate in this day funded by the’OFB, This is obvious to us. It's a concrete action for:
-
Clean the riverbanks: After the waters rise, the Tarn often leaves behind debris trapped in the branches;
-
Protecting biodiversity: Less plastic in nature means healthier wildlife;
-
Welcoming you in the best possible conditions: We want you to see nothing but the purity of the river when you lay your towel on our private beach this summer.
Let's all be the actors of tomorrow:
If we are there on March 21st, it is also to send a message. Outdoor camping is, above all, a contract of respect with nature.
During your upcoming stay with us, we count on you to:
- Use the recycling and compost bins at the entrance to the campsite ;
- Leave nothing behind during your canoe trips or hikes ;
- Report any illegal dumping you may come across.
Nature offers us so much, the least we can do is keep it clean.
